Gmail on mobile - Using Microsoft

Gmail has one tiny disadvantage for fans of mobility: it can't be used on mobile devices, because Google is financing this service with advertisements that are not visible in mobile devices.

To work around these problems some dodgy websites have been offering mobile access to Gmail thanks to certain PHP scripts, that run on the side of the server.

Here we present a method, based purely on Microsoft technologies, to access Gmail from Pocket PC phones and PDAs - in a secure way, and without the need to use some risky third-party programs and servers:

In order to use this method you need to have Pocket PC with connection to the Internet and a computer connected to the Internet, that runs Windows Server or Windows XP Professional software. If you have access over VPN to your PC at work, it will suffice too! If you have a computer with Windows XP Professional at home, that is connected to the Internet over DSL - it will suffice too.

After establishing a connection to the Internet (or eventually to intranet of your company through VPN), you need to start "Terminal Services Client" in yor Pocket PC and point it to given computer, where remote access is activated (Windows XP Professional or Windows Server):
